About This Tool

Split a PDF by page ranges, every N pages, or into individual one-page files.

This tool processes everything locally in your browser. Your files and data never leave your device. No uploads, no tracking, no accounts required.

Split PDF Documents by Pages or Ranges

Divide a PDF into smaller files entirely in your browser. Choose from three splitting modes: extract specific page ranges into one file, split every N pages into multiple files, or separate every page into its own document. All processing is client-side with pdf-lib.

Split modes:

  • Extract ranges: Enter page numbers and ranges like "1-3, 5, 7-10" to create a single PDF with only those pages.
  • Every N pages: Split the document into chunks of equal size. For example, with N=2, a 10-page PDF becomes 5 files of 2 pages each.
  • Individual pages: Each page is extracted as a separate one-page PDF.

Frequently Asked Questions

Use comma-separated numbers and ranges. For example, "1-3, 5, 7-10" extracts pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 10 into a single PDF. Page numbering starts at 1.
After splitting, each generated PDF is listed with its own download button. Use "Download All" to save them sequentially. Your browser may ask for permission to download multiple files.
No, please decrypt password-locked PDFs before attempting to split them.
